C'est Paris

Day 8......

I have met some very incredible people the past 8 days and have been enjoying the city I want to spend the rest of my life...

I find Paris so far to be unbelievable and to be spending the rest of this month exploring it and learning the language only intrigues me to dig more. The food, the culture, the style, the people, the architecture.. everything is just so unique and one of a kind.

So far I have been seeing all the monuments and doing the tourist thing and taking pictures but now a whole week in I am hoping to spend some time reflecting on myself and why this trip is so important to me.

Step #1- Arrive in New York

I went to bed last night at 2:30 am and woke up at 5:30 this morning to finish getting everything ready for my travels today.

Jenn drove me up to the Chinatown bus stop at 7 and at 7:30 I was on my way to New york.

I arrived and now am sitting in the Starbucks putting the last pieces of my puzzle together and about to venture out into the Big Apple for the next couple hours for some batteries and a watch, then I am taking the subway to the airport.

48 hours

I will be in Paris in 48 hours......

Suprisingly with the list of things I was going to pack which I though would be sufficient, this is my stuff all packed up..

Also, Jenn and I just went and talked to our neighbor who we share a door portal connecting the two apartments. I swear it was like a portal to another universe whenever we opened it last week to move the couch in.. It was so mysterious, but now whenever we are gone we are going to open the whole building up so the cats can be all over and be loved while we are gone.

Sadly Jenn will be leaving and the apartment will just not be the same without hanging around and breaking into dances at 2 am, spying on the neighbors, cooking, killing plants, dealing with construction, and adoring the 2 best cats in the world.

:))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))!!!!

This weekend was the perfect way to spend together, especially Saturday afternoon.. Brunch down the street at Sazon with the most amazing Hot Chocolate, the Art Museum and then a quick beer lunch.

I'll miss you Jenn, can't wait to do it again.

I am sitting in my kitchen on my computer as this is the best place in my apartment for internet service preparing everything for my trip to Paris on Tuesday. I can't believe it is so soon, I honestly can not believe it. Ever since I decided in January that I wanted to take this trip when I was flying home from New Orleans with Brigid, I never thought this would be such a big deal for me. It has culminated into what will hopefully be something I remember for the rest of my life.

So back to my apartment, I got my vacuum cleaner fixed and sucked up all the cat hair on my new couch, I could only imagine what the neighbors were thinking considering I was doing it in my skivvies..:) Anywho.. the couch is a lot less hairy and the apartment is one step closer to being ready for me to leave for a month, even though I have not found someone to sublet yet.

Well tomorrow will come soon, Jenn and I are spending the afternoon together.
Bike store in the early morning, then brunch at Sazoon down the street from the apartment, and then Eastern State Penitentiary. Then hopefully some people will come to check out the apartment.

Keep yourself posted, I will be using this blog to post pictures from Paris and my travels in Europe
